LAUNCH PROJECT
A US-BASED PRIVATE LABEL CLIENT WAS TIRED OF SPENDING MONTH AFTER MONTH TRACKING KEYWORDS AND PERFORMING ENDLESS RESOURCE-DRIVEN TASKS, ALL FOR THE SAKE OF MAKING TINY EXTRA SALES PERCENTAGES ON AMAZON.COM. INSTEAD THEY WANTED TO EXPLORE MORE FRUITFUL REWARDS FOR THEIR TIME, BY UNLOCKING THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THEIR BRAND IN OTHER COUNTRIES.
OUR OBJECTIVE WAS TO CREATE A LOW-RISK PATHWAY THAT: -
WOULD PERMIT A SUPER-EASY LAUNCH IN THE UK TO START, WITH EU MARKETPLACES TO FOLLOW.
WOULD LET THE EXPERTS DEAL WITH ALL THE HEADACHES AND BARRIERS TO ENTRY
WOULD SAVE THE CLIENT TIME AND RESOURCES FROM TRYING TO DO ALL THE HARD YARDS THEMSELVES
WOULD SCOPE PROFIT ANALYSIS TO SHOW HEALTHY MARGINS FROM THE OFFSET

2. SKETCHING: USING THE INSIGHTS FROM OUR RESEARCH, WE THEN CHECKED THE FORMAT (TABLETS / CAPSULES), COUNT PER UNIT (E.G. 60 IN A BOTTLE), AND PACKED QUANTITY FOR LOCAL LAWS, REGULATIONS, CUSTOMS & SHIPPING.
3. PRODUCT DESIGN: AFTER REVIEWING THE DETAILS WITH THE CLIENT, WE ANALYSED THE CONTAINER TYPE (BOTTLE / TUB), PACKAGING, LABEL ARTWORK AND SYMBOLS
4. REFINEMENT: WE REFINED THE ANALYSIS DOWN FURTHER TO INCLUDE; COMPLIANCE (EU RESPONSIBLE PERSON), RETURNS, STORAGE, SHIPPING.
5. FINALIZATION: WE DELIVERED THE FINAL REPORT, WHICH CONSISTED OF A BUSINESS CASE, PLAN OF ACTION, AND RECOMMENDATIONS. ACCOMPANIED WITH A QUOTATION FROM A LOCAL WHITE LABEL & PRIVATE LABEL MANUFACTURER.
WHILE SHIPPING INVENTORY FROM THE US WAS THE INITIAL DESIRED OUTCOME, WE LEARNED THAT THE PRODUCT NEEDED SOME CUSTOMISATION IN ORDER TO MEET EU REGULATIONS. SO WITH THE SOLID BUSINESS CASE AND ADDED SIMPLICITY OF LOCAL EU PRODUCTION WITH LOW MOQS BEING A MORE ATTRACTIVE OPTION, THIS LED TO A SUCCESSFUL TEST LAUNCH IN THE UK. THE BUSINESS REPORTED HIGHER THAN ANTICIPATED MARKETPLACE SALES, LOW ACOS AND SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT. REPEAT ORDERS OF VARYING QUANTITIES OF INVENTORY ARE PLANNED TO BE MADE LOCALLY IN THE EU FROM NOW ON. THE CLIENT DECIDED TO ADD OTHER EU-MANUFACTURED LINES TO ACCOMPANY PRODUCT #1 IN THE UK, BEFORE TAKING THE JUMP TO SELL A RANGE ACROSS THE WHOLE OF THE EU, VIA PAN-EU FBA.
THROUGH CAREFUL RESEARCH AND A COLLABORATIVE PROCESS, WE WERE ABLE TO CREATE A UNIQUE AND EFFECTIVE BUSINESS CASE THAT MET THE CLIENT'S OBJECTIVES AND HELPED THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR BUSINESS GOALS.
